Limited Warranty
Maxx Volts offers charger systems designed for specific vehicle year, make, and model applications.
EL-1 Series charger systems are covered by a 6-month limited warranty against defects in materials or workmanship and against power-supply failure under normal intended use.
Premium Line charger systems are covered by a 2-year limited parts-and-labor warranty against defects in materials or workmanship under normal intended use.
This limited warranty does not cover:
- misuse or abuse
- improper installation or improper voltage input
- unauthorized modification or alteration
- normal wear or cosmetic damage
- damage caused by improper packaging during return shipment
- damage caused by use contrary to Maxx Volts instructions
If a covered warranty issue occurs within the first 30 days after delivery, contact Maxx Volts by email with a description of the issue. If the issue is covered under this limited warranty and cannot be resolved through troubleshooting, Maxx Volts will issue an RMA and provide a prepaid return shipping label. Maxx Volts will pay the shipping cost to return the item to our service center and the shipping cost to send the repaired item back to you.
If a covered warranty issue occurs more than 30 days after delivery but within the applicable warranty period, contact Maxx Volts by email with a description of the issue. If the issue is covered under this limited warranty and cannot be resolved through troubleshooting, Maxx Volts will issue an RMA. In that case, the customer is responsible for shipping costs to Maxx Volts and for return shipping back to the customer, unless otherwise required by law.
Items returned for warranty service must be properly packaged. Use the original box and packing materials whenever possible. Maxx Volts may deny warranty coverage for shipping damage caused by inadequate packaging.
Service / RMA Procedure
A valid RMA number is required for all approved warranty-service returns and all approved out-of-warranty repair returns. Packages received without a valid RMA may be refused.
Before Maxx Volts will issue an RMA for a claimed defect, the buyer must participate in reasonable troubleshooting requested by Maxx Volts so that we can determine whether the reported issue is caused by installation error, operating conditions, misuse, shipping damage, or an actual defect in materials or workmanship.
Reasonably requested troubleshooting may include photographs, video of the unit’s operation, video or photos of the installation and connections, serial-number information, voltage readings, and a written description of the issue and the steps already taken.
Providing this information is a required part of the warranty-evaluation and RMA process. If the buyer does not provide the requested troubleshooting information, Maxx Volts cannot determine whether the claim qualifies for warranty service, and no RMA will be issued unless and until the requested information is provided.
If a product is outside the warranty period and requires repair, contact Maxx Volts by email with a description of the issue. If troubleshooting does not resolve the issue, Maxx Volts will issue an RMA. After receipt and inspection, Maxx Volts will provide a repair estimate, including applicable shipping charges, before any non-warranty repair work is performed.
If inspection and testing show that a product is operating properly, or that the reported issue results from improper installation, improper voltage input, misuse, unauthorized modification, or another non-warranty cause, the claim will not qualify as a covered warranty claim. In that event, the buyer may be responsible for applicable shipping, diagnostic, and repair charges unless otherwise required by law.
Custom-Built Orders / No Cancellations / No Refunds
Maxx Volts charging systems, dischargers, wiring harnesses, and related electronic tools are built, configured, allocated, serialized, and/or customized to customer order. These are specially manufactured goods and are not stocked for general retail resale.
Because production, customization, serial-number assignment, engraving, and order-specific allocation begin promptly after an order is placed, orders for these products may not be cancelled once processing or production begins.
There are no customer-convenience returns, no change-of-mind returns, and no refunds on charging systems, dischargers, wiring harnesses, or electronic tools. All such sales are final, except to the extent a remedy is expressly available under Maxx Volts’ written limited warranty or otherwise required by law.
Refusal of delivery, failure to accept delivery, or return-to-sender status does not cancel the order and does not create a right to a refund. If a customer refuses delivery of a custom-built order, Maxx Volts reserves all rights and remedies available under applicable law.
No package may be returned to Maxx Volts without a valid RMA.
Do not return any package without a valid RMA number. Unauthorized returns may be refused.
